I've flipped through it but haven't read it yet and it does look pretty awesome, seems like it combines the information from an intro to climbing book, an anchors book, multi-pitch book, alpine climbing book, glacier and snow travel, and self rescue book into one. Kind of looks like a more climbing specific focused Freedom of the Hills. After reaching the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro in , Garduce became the first Filipino to climb one of the Seven Summits. First American to climb all 14 eight-thousanders; 5th person to do so without Oxygen. Edmund Viesturs (born J ) [1] is a high-altitude mountaineer and corporate speaker. Don't let the word "climbing" throw you off! There are two parts to climbing St Peters dome: You can take the () stairs or the lift/elevator to the first level, and wind up on the inside of Michelangelo's dome. This is so special, because you will be looking down on the inside of St Peters basilica from above, and, if you are lucky, you may hear some singing floating up to reach you.   The problem with The Climb is that the formula makes even the monumental endeavor of climbing Mount Everest feel somewhat banal. Because, after all, we know how it ends. And there are no unexpected twists or turnarounds that lead the viewer to think that maybe Samy won't reach the top.2/5.
